This is the official blog for
Smipple! Since there is a lot yet to be done to improve the service, there is a need to log and let people know about Smipple's progress.
If you don't know what Smipple is then take a look at
http://www.smipple.net/. Smipple is a service for saving, organizing and most of all sharing snippets of code with your fellow developers.
Most other snippet services are very open and have features for tagging and searching but Smipple is different because Smipple is a social service. This means that you can follow other users who you think post interesting snippets that you want to read. When you can follow users that you trust to post snippets that are interesting to you, the snippets shown on the site are much easier to use. Currently this is supported in Smipple's dashboard.

Other snippet sites also have a lot of junk. i.e. Snippets that aren't very interesting or don't have anything to to do with your interests. Smipple's defining feature moving forward will be it's ability to allow you see and find the snippets that are interesting to you. The follow feature is just the beginning!
So stay tuned as Smipple progresses. If you have any features or suggestions head over to
Smipple's Feedback Forum and let us know about it!
